We sat down with William Lau, Principal Product Marketing Manager at Citrix, to bring you the lowdown on what’s new and how it’s going to revolutionize your online meetings.

Redesigning a mega-popular service like GoToMeeting is a big, brave undertaking. What spurred the change?

Nowadays, business professionals want to use software that reminds them of their consumer apps, and our customers expect GoToMeeting to be just as simple, intuitive and fast as any other app they use in their daily life. There really doesn’t need to be a distinction between the design or functionality of the two.

So we knew it was time to give our customers a brand-new, modern experience that makes hosting and attending meetings even more delightful.

What’s actually new?
Our engineers, designers and product managers have done a great job of simplifying the meeting experience. You can break it down to three substantial new features:

1. The control panel is fully customizable. You can move it, take it apart and even minimize it out of sight. Make it as big or as little part of the meeting as you want so you can keep the focus on your attendees and presentation. See more about how it all works.
